Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At Great Witley CE Primary School we strive to be a fully inclusive school where all pupils achieve their potential.  For any child with additional needs we aim to identify barriers to learning and provide the support needed to ensure they make good progress.

Mrs Parkin is our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator.

Parent/Carer Concerns

If you have any concerns about your child's development then speak to your child's class teacher to express your concerns. 

e.g. 

- Language and Communication

- Cognition and Learning

- Social, Emotional and Mental Health

- Sensory or Physical

To communicate with your child's class teacher please speak to them at collection time, or put a message on class dojo or email the school office marking it for the attention of your child's class teacher.

Early Intervention

The earlier we take action the sooner we can resolve concerns and help children feel successful.  Throughout the identification process the school will liaise with parents/carers, and the children themselves, to share our findings and plan the next steps.
