On Wednesday 6th March, we held our very first Parents Forum meeting. The aim of the forum is to engage parents in discussion about whole school issues, allowing for genuine collaboration between home and school on issues which will be of interest to all parents.
Following a discussion of those present the group decided to keep the forum open to all who wished to attend. The meetings will be advertised via the school newsletter and those wishing to attend will be welcomed. There will be no elected reps. the agenda will take the form of a ‘Hot Topic’ for the meeting.
School Governors will attend the meetings where possible, this will provide valuable opportunities for parent and governor dialogue.
The meetings will take place once per half term, with a Parents Forum newsletter going home to all families the following week. Thus involving everyone not just those parents able to make the meetings.
