Plan for the Day
During morning school time, the children will be taking part in a sponsored walk beginning on the school field and taking in a lap of Bowens field. Each class will have an hour to complete as many laps as they can. Supported by Friends, we have decided to repeat this brilliant event again as it has been hugely popular with the children, and it is also great for everyone’s mental health and wellbeing. This event is also extremely successful in raising much needed funds. All monies raised will benefit Great Witley CE Primary School children. Previously, money raised from this event has gone towards buying laptops, a class set of iPads, new library furniture and new reading books. Sponsor forms will be sent out 2 weeks before the event.
As part of the Jubilee Celebrations communities across the UK are being encouraged to come together for ‘The Big Jubilee Lunch.’ We are planning a picnic lunch on the field from 12 noon, weather permitting. Therefore, there will no hot dinners on this day, 26.5.2022 and any already booked will be refunded on ParentPay. If you would like to join your child for a picnic lunch on the field, families will be very welcome to come and have lunch with their child. The rest of the children will eat their picnic in class groups with the class Teacher/Lunchtime Staff.
Each class is preparing either a song or dance linked to their decade and will be sharing this with the other classes during the afternoon. Parents are very welcome to stay for this informal presentation.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
