House Science Day was very successful and thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
The day started with everyone gathering in the hall to watch Danielle, a visiting Professor of Science, ably assisted by Rommi, the magician, point out the difference between magic and science. Danielle showed some fascinating experiments using hair driers, smoke machines and fire, which amazed us all.
The children then spent the day undertaking a variety of activities in their houses. They looked at seed dispersal, optical illusions, kaleidoscopes, the spectrum and conducted investigations with paper flowers.
Many thanks to Mrs Freeman who organised House Science Day.
