On Friday 19th October, Great Witley CE Pimary School hosted their annual Harvest celebrations. At 9:00am Cedar class led the Harvest Service with a theme of 'Harvest Around the World'. They presented information about Tanzania and how harvest time in Africa differs from England. Sallie Butcher from the benefice reminded everyone about the poor weather in the UK this year and how it has affected our local farmers. Produce, donated by friends and families of the school was blessed, it was then taken to Great Witley church for their Harvest Service on Sunday 21st October.
During the afternoon the school played host to local senior citizens. The children provided a variety of songs and rhymes for the visitors to listen to. Parents and friends of the school provided a delicious selection of home made cakes and biscuits. The afternoon was a wonderful community event and was enjoyed by all.
