On the last Thursday at the end of Spring term, Cedar class had a sleepover to round off their theme of ‘Holes.’ The theme ‘Holes’ is based on a book and the movie ‘Holes.’ It is set in a vast wasteland in Texas: ‘Camp Green Lake.’ Furthermore, it is a camp where you send naughty boys. After school, Cedar Class played some games tying in with their theme (‘Holes’)
First Cedar played some games such as, Pin the Tail on the Lizard and The Hammock Game, where you worked as a team to try and fold a blanket as small as you could without falling, or coming off it. We also played Fling the Lizard: where you tried to fling a little rubber lizard as far as you could.
For tea, we all had either pizza, chicken nuggets or fish. “Tasty and delicious!”-Amy “Delicious and filling!”-Sam. On the pizzas we had many toppings: some were very adventurous.
Later that night, in the dark we went down to Forest School and had a camp fire. We toasted marshmallows and Beary biscuits, and sang some camp fire songs: Herman the Worm and Boa Constrictor. We also went up to the back playground and looked at the stars, “they were beautiful!”
When it got late we put our pyjamas on and watched the movie ‘Holes.’ After the film we tried to settle down for bed. Not everyone got to sleep straight away, however everyone eventually drifted off. In the Morning we had toast, bacon, sausages, beans and lots more – what a wonderful day to start a school morning.
